TransProcure CEO to Present in Corporate Legal Counsel Asia Pacific Conference
(2008 October 16 - 17, Scotts Hotel, Singapore)

Manila, Philippines, 15 September 2008 -- TransProcure President and CEO and current Chairman of Procurement and Sourcing Institute of Asia (PASIA), Charlie Villasenor will be a featured speaker in Corporate Legal Counsel Asia Pacific Conference which will be held on October 16 – 17, 2008 at the Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel, Singapore.  The event is organized by Asia Business Forum, Asia’s leading business conference producer.

Villaseñor will give an in-depth talk on Enterprise Contract Management: Reaping the Benefits which aims to address the different issues and contract management challenges faced by firms around the world today. As the focus of most business organizations has shifted in managing relationships, the role of the corporate counsel becomes increasingly complex. In addition, the growing volume of contracts and pressure to improve contracting cycle times create friction between Legal and other department – namely Sales and Procurement. A way to tackle these dysfunctions is through Enterprise Contract Management which is defined as the process of systematically and efficiently managing contract creation, execution and analysis for maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk. This session highlights Enterprise Contract Management as an emerging requirement for organizations to enhance collaboration from all contract management stakeholders, protect the organization against worse-case scenarios, and to optimize the value they are getting from their contractual relationships.

This significant 2-day Conference will focus on the key challenges facing in-house legal departments in Asia. In particular, it will consider the cross-border legal issues related to challenges in today’s corporate practices, arbitration and litigation laws, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, mediation, legal compliance system and counsel management.

The conference will be led by top regional law firms such as Angela Wang & Co, Drew & Napier, Singapore Mediation Centre , Shern Dalamore & Co, Rodyk & Davidson, Portcullis Trustnet & Nestle Malaysia/Singapore  to name a few.
