TransProcure awarded “Rising Star” for BPO Procurement Services

Manila, Philippines December 13, 2004 -- Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo awarded TransProcure Corporation the “Rising Star” citation for BPO Procurement Services during the 17th Annual Golden Shell Awards at the Malacanang Palace. The Golden Shell Awards are given by Philippine Government through the Department of Trade and Industry‘s (DTI) Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions. Cited for exceptional performance in the field of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) - Procurement

Services, TransProcure has been recognized for being on the forefront in helping global and local companies in various industries and sizes. And yet, they become more competitive through procurement services that bring about significant cost savings and efficiency.

The award was received by TransProcure President & CEO Charlie Villasenor at the Malacanang Palace.  Villasenor mentioned that TransProcure is on the right track in fulfilling its vision - to make the Philippines the “Procurement Capital of the World.” “The Philippines is already a leading provider of outsourced call center, accounting, human resources and shared services operations. BPO-Procurement will be the next page in this success story,” he said.

TransProcure‘s key differentiator was its main focus on procurement services that include consulting, strategic procurement, eProcurement, global sourcing, and training, all aimed at helping companies achieve procurement efficiencies. The company was also cited for intensifying efforts in investing in Filipino talent by differentiating and finding a special niche in the growing outsourcing market.

“We believe that TransProcure‘s procurement knowledge base, experience and scalability will make the Philippines the BPO destination of choice for many companies, and will become an important generator of new jobs for years to come,” said Villasenor. Currently, TransProcure has been increasing its customer base, composed of large and medium size local and global companies. Itseems that this will continue being significantly competitive because of the Philippines‘ cost base, availability of world-class infrastructure, government priority support, as well as a highly skilled English-speaking workforce.
